Yea bitches! I did awesome tonight! Not by getting a bunch of stuff but by getting another gift card! Woo!

I am on a roll. In a way, they paid me $7 to take these vitamins off their hands. I was a little worried that they would be out of these but I got three out of the last four on the shelf. I actually forgot three coupons for some more free stuff but oh well, I’ll use them next time. So I’ve raised my spending power! Even above what I started with.

Toys R Us Fails

So, recently Toys R Us had this amazing sale on Crayola items. If you bought one item, you got two free. Usually this isn’t that great because they take the lowest priced items off BUT there was some sort of glitch in their system and their system was allowing for you to pay for the lowest priced item and getting the two higher priced items for free! So I could add a 24 pk of crayons for a $1.40 and get two $10 items for free. I was thrilled and excited so I placed 5 different orders. Unfortunately, Toys R Us sucks and cancelled 3 of my orders and cancelled an item in each of the two remaining orders. They always cancel my orders. They need to update better or something. They suck. But this is what I got:

Still not bad for $2.40. But not as great as it could have been.

Today more than made up for my horrible experience last night!

I woke up to find that I had gotten a bonus $5 ECB coupon in my account! Yay free money! And I had planned this mini trip last night. I got all this for nothing if you factor in my ECB (remember this means Extra Care Bucks-basically CVS money)

So yea! My total went up although my gift card is almost depleted. But never fear. Using my coupons and ECB, I am going to get another gift card this week. I think Liam and I will make a trip into CVS tomorrow. It will be spectacular!

This was a DISAPPOINTING trip. I went in prepared to get stuff from their $10 Gift Card promotion but of course, I went on a Saturday and everything is gone. Pooh. Then, I overspent and I feel like I didn’t get much.

So I lost money and didn’t necessarily get a lot of stuff I wanted or needed but it’s a learning situation. Those vegetables in the bottle, I literally could not leave them on the shelf. They were 90% off. NINETY PERCENT OFF! I don’t even necessarily like them but I just couldn’t leave them. They were the last two things left on the 90% off shelf and they looked so lonely that I just had to buy them. I also got three things of eye shadow and one photo collage. All in all, very disappointed in CVS tonight. I could have done so much better if they only kept their stock up. I blame this on them!

Mommy Break

You know you need a mommy break when you spend 15 minutes telling your baby how sexy his “toesies” are.

Liam has been teething. It’s probably paining me more because I hate the sound of crying. And crying is what he’s been doing. He falls asleep on me and I’m an enabler, so I let him sleep on me. I don’t move him. I’m creating future problems, I know. He wants to eat every two hours, but I’ve been trying to get him to wait three. Which he cries even more.

He just got over this horrendous diaper rash. I read that they get them when they teeth. Poor baby. Apparently there are different types of diaper creams out there and my regular desitin just wasn’t doing the job. So I had to go buy the maximum strength, which smells gross and is even harder to clean off. But it works!

Liam is starting to discover things. One thing is his toes. He gets mad that he’s too fat and can’t chew on them. Which usually means more crying.

But even with all this crying, and even if I’m super annoyed, he does the cutest things and then I completely forget about all the constant whining. For example, I will try rocking him to sleep, but he takes his binky out and holds it in his hands and I swear he’s telling me all the reasons why he doesn’t want to go to sleep. He literally can talk your ear off. Then, the other night, he took his binky out and smiled up at me and patted my cheek. I know, too cute. Although I’m sure the pat was actually a failed attempt to snatch my glasses. He’s shifty like that.

A lot of people in my coupon blogging community (boy does that sound dorky) have been doing these CVS gift card challenges. They get a $50 dollar gift card and then they see how long it can last them and how much merchandise they can get. My couponing idol (Again, that sounds even dorkier) Cheryl from Simply CVS has done it and she is still on a roll! So far she has got $1,000 worth of merchandise and still has $30 remaining on her $50 gift card! Jealous! So, I only have a $10 AMEX gift card from a promotion from CVS, which I’m going to use to take the challenge! I also have $6 in ExtraBuck Rewards so that will count in my gift card challenge. I’m going tonight hopefully to start this so be EXCITED!
